A Close-up at MedibLU UDF Technology: Synergistic mechanism and multi-target mode of action
The high antimicrobial efficacies of MedibLU UDF technology is based on a new synergistic mechanism that enhances the antimicrobial efficacies of vitamins and organic acids by:
- Perforation of microbial cell walls;
- Permeabilisation of cell membranes;
- Accelerated acid hydrolysis of nucleic acids
- Inactivation of microbial cell structures, proteins and enzymes by acidi hydrolysis.
The patented mixtures of vitamins, organic acids, and detergents result in more effective up-take of all ingredients into microbial cells causing more effectively perforation of cell walls and permeabilisation of cell membranes. This results in acid hydrolysis of microbial cell structures, proteins, enzymes and nucleic acids. The cell structures, proteins, enzymes, DNA and RNA of the target organisms (bacteria, fungi, spores and viruses) will be hydrolysed which eventually kills and inactivates the target microorganisms. The synergistic mechanism is also highly effective against multi-resistant microorganisms and allows the use of unprecedented low amounts of the different ingredients which guarantees high biocompatibility for skin, mucous membranes and tissues.
